Tutorium, an innovative language school based in Estonia, specializes in teaching Spanish to immigrants from the CIS. They approached us with a clear vision: to create a design that would distinguish them in the educational sector, highlight their modern approach, and appeal to a younger demographic.
Working closely with the owners, we charted a course to enhance Tutorium's brand identity while preserving its name. Our strategy included refreshing their social media presence and revamping the website to ensure a cohesive brand experience across all platforms. We selected a vibrant yellow as the primary color and crafted a unique typography logo using the letter "И" (reflecting the school's name Tutor i Um, meaning Tutor and Mind).
In the wake of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, we were cautious to ensure the logo couldn't be misinterpreted as the letter "Z", a symbol associated with the invasion. Our choice of Gilroy font for the website balanced simplicity and elegance, contrasting well with a bespoke typeform created by Nedigital for the logo and main titles. We experimented with various color and font combinations in our demo posts, refining our design elements.
After finalizing the Figma prototype and incorporating the owners' feedback, we launched Tutorium's revamped website, featuring 20 new pages including essential system pages like registration and login. The result was an immediate and significant impact.
In the weeks following the website and social media update, Tutorium experienced a remarkable increase in traction and followers. The website became a powerful tool for generating leads and sales, leading the owners to entrust us with another project: the development of a comprehensive student dashboard.
In just 21 days, we unveiled Tutorium's new dashboard, crafted with HTML, PHP, and MySQL. This innovative platform showcased students' current courses, provided engaging statistics, and integrated a custom-made rating system to introduce gamification. It also included a feature for class recordings, allowing students to revisit lessons they missed, thereby enhancing their learning experience.
Our collaboration with Tutorium marked a transformative phase in their journey. By meticulously crafting a vibrant brand identity and digital presence, we not only set Tutorium apart from its competitors but also aligned it with the aspirations of a younger, more dynamic audience. The careful consideration given to cultural sensitivities in the logo design demonstrated our commitment to thoughtful and responsible branding.
